Health Visiting
Expert, qualified care
What is a Health Visitor?
A Health Visitor is a qualified nurse or midwife who has completed specialist training in public health for children and families, registered as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN). In the UK, health visitors focus on promoting the health, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0 to 5, as well as the physical and emotional wellbeing of parents and carers.
Traditionally part of the NHS, health visitors deliver support and interventions that are both universal and tailored — meaning all families receive contact, but those who need more help get extra support.
Health visitors are often the first point of contact for questions, concerns, or challenges in early parenthood. We provide expert advice, developmental reviews, mental health support, and safeguarding — always aiming to empower parents, not overwhelm them.

How I work
Personalised Health Visiting Support via Zoom
As a registered Health Visitor and Children's Nurse with over 20 years of experience, I now offer private, one-to-one sessions over Zoom, giving you direct access to timely, professional advice without long waits or rushed appointments.
You’ll get all the benefits of an experienced health visitor — but on your terms:
No waiting weeks for call backs
No worrying you’re bothering someone
No judgement, just clear, compassionate support
My expertise
Evidence-based guidance
I provide practical, reassuring, and up-to-date advice based on UK clinical guidelines and developmental research. I help make sense of the overwhelm, offering real-world support for common concerns and difficulties.
Common concerns and difficulties
My evidence-based guidance provides expert, real-world support for: infant sleep and routines, Breast and bottle feeding, weaning and nutrition, behaviour and boundaries, toddler tantrums and emotional regulation, toilet training, managing illness and knowing when to worry.
Developmental reviews and monitoring
Worried about speech, social development, or milestones? I offer in-depth, age-appropriate reviews that assess your child’s growth, communication, motor skills, and emotional wellbeing — with follow-up actions and signposting if needed.
Early Intervention and Safeguarding
With extensive NHS safeguarding experience, I am trained to recognise when something may not be right — whether for the child or the parent. I gently support families to access help early, before things escalate.
Emotional Support
for you
The early years are intense — and often isolating. I support maternal mental health, helping you explore feelings around identity, anxiety, overwhelm, guilt, or burnout. You don’t have to pretend you're okay — we can talk about what’s really going on.
Signposting and Advocacy
I help families navigate local services and referrals. Whether it’s speech and language therapy, SEND support, breastfeeding groups, or your GP, I’ll explain what’s available and how to access it.
